The best AnonyIG alternatives: tested and ranked for 2026
AnonyIG (anonyig.com) is one of the most searched anonymous Instagram story viewers, with about 165,000 searches a month in the US alone. You type a public username, and it shows that account’s stories, highlights, reels and posts without an Instagram login. It does that job. What it can’t do is tell you what changed since your last visit, and that is usually the real question.
We used AnonyIG on October 12, 2026, read its FAQ, privacy policy and terms, and looked at the code the page loads. Every fact below comes from that visit or from a public source in our fact sheet. Peekd is our product and we rank it first, so we have tried hard to be fair to everyone else on the list. We are not affiliated with AnonyIG, Instagram or Meta.

Get alerts
Watch public stories anonymously, then get an alert when the account follows or unfollows someone.
The short answer
Stay with AnonyIG if all you want is one quick look at a public story or highlight, you’re fine with ads, and you don’t need to know anything tomorrow that you didn’t know today.
Switch to Peekd if you keep coming back to the same account. Say you check an ex’s stories every couple of days. The story is the surface. What you actually want to know is who they started following and who they dropped. AnonyIG forgets you the moment you close the tab. Peekd views public stories anonymously too, and it keeps a dated timeline of new follows and unfollows, with an alert when something changes. It runs on the web, iPhone and Android, and one account is free.
The best AnonyIG alternatives, ranked
1. Peekd: best if you check the same account again and again
Peekd tracks any public account without a login. Add a username and it saves who that account follows and who follows it, then checks again on a schedule. New follows and unfollows appear with the day Peekd first saw them, and you get a real-time alert. Public stories open anonymously in the same app. Limits: public accounts only, nothing verified or above 10,000 followers, and no history from before you started tracking. Try the follower tracker.
2. Insnoop: best for a quick, quiet story check
Free, no login, browser only. Our test lookups loaded within seconds and showed no ads. It covers stories and highlights, with downloads. It names no operator and keeps no history. Insnoop vs Peekd.
3. Mollygram: best for downloads in many languages
Free and ad-supported, no login, 13 languages. It lists stories, highlights, reels, photos and videos. On our visit the ads were heavy and a human check appeared before results. Mollygram vs Peekd.
4. Inflact: best for brand and influencer research
Run by Wiseway SIA in Riga, Latvia, and formerly called Ingramer. The viewer worked for us with no ads and no login, but the free tier allows only one profile a day. Its tracker focuses on follower counts and engagement, with paid plans shown at €29 and €49 a month from an EU connection. Inflact vs Peekd.
5. IGDetective: best web tracker for likes and comments
No login, web only, English only. The free plan covers one profile without follow tracking. Follow tracking needs Premium, shown at $30 a month. IGDetective vs Peekd.

What Peekd does that AnonyIG doesn’t
AnonyIG is a lookup. You search, you look, you leave. If you want to know whether anything changed, you have to remember what you saw last time and compare it yourself. Peekd does the remembering.
- A dated follow timeline. Peekd records who the account follows over time, so a new name shows up with a date. That answers who someone recently followed, which Instagram doesn’t show in order.
- Alerts instead of checking. You don’t need to open a viewer every morning. Peekd tells you when the tracked account follows or unfollows someone.
- Stories in the same place. Watch the account’s public stories without landing in the viewer list. The free story viewer check tells you first whether an account is public.
- A real app. AnonyIG has no app in the App Store or on Google Play. Peekd runs at app.peekdapp.com and on iPhone and Android, with one account across all three.
Here is where that matters. Your partner’s story from Friday looks completely normal. AnonyIG can show you that story. It can’t tell you they followed four new accounts on Wednesday. Peekd can, as long as tracking started before Wednesday.
Where AnonyIG is good
- It works. Our search for a public account returned posts and current stories with no human check.
- More media types. Stories, highlights, reels and posts, with downloads. Peekd doesn’t do highlights or downloads.
- No size limit mentioned. For a celebrity or a verified account, AnonyIG is the better fit, because Peekd doesn’t support those.
- Clear FAQ on private accounts. It says plainly that only public accounts work.
- Eleven languages, including a German version.
Is AnonyIG safe? What we saw
AnonyIG never asks for your Instagram password, which removes the biggest risk. Here is what else we noticed on desktop Chrome on October 12, 2026:
- A consent banner listing 283 ad partners. We declined. Ads loaded anyway: a large game ad under the search box and a sticky banner at the bottom.
- A paid upsell that contradicts the FAQ. After our search, the results first showed “Want to view private posts and accounts too?” and a subscription to a separate downloader called Televzr for $11.99. The FAQ and terms say only public accounts work.
- Session recording in the code. The page script includes a session-recording tool switched on for a small random share of visits. The privacy policy doesn’t mention it.
- No named operator. The site says it is run by “a small remote team”. The domain was registered in 2023, although the homepage says “running since 2020”.
- Lookalike domains. anonyig.net, .org and .io are separate sites with their own ad accounts, and anonyig.ai forwards to a different viewer. Check the address bar.
None of this makes AnonyIG dangerous on its face. It does mean you should ignore any “private account” offer, skip the extensions and downloads it promotes, and never type a password into anything it links to. Our guide to Instagram stalker apps has a longer checklist, and it applies to Peekd as well.
AnonyIG pricing vs Peekd’s free plan
AnonyIG’s viewer is free and paid for by ads. The only price we saw was the $11.99 Televzr subscription offered after a search, plus VAT. AnonyIG also sells an Instagram data API, from free to $250 a month, which is aimed at developers. Peekd’s free plan tracks one public account with dated follows, unfollows, alerts and anonymous stories, no card needed. Paid plans track more accounts.
Which one should you use?
- One story, right now: AnonyIG or Insnoop. Or check the account in our free story viewer.
- A celebrity or verified account: AnonyIG. Peekd doesn’t support those.
- Someone you keep checking (an ex, a partner, a friend, a competitor): Peekd. You get the stories and the follow timeline in one app.
- Your own unfollowers: neither viewer helps. Use the free not-following-back checker.
- A private account: nobody. Ask to follow.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best AnonyIG alternative?
For one quick story look, Insnoop is the simplest, and our test showed no ads. If you check the same account often, Peekd is the better pick: anonymous public stories plus dated follows, unfollows and alerts.
Is AnonyIG safe?
It doesn’t ask for your Instagram login, which is good. On our visit it showed heavy ads, a consent banner listing 283 partners and a paid “private accounts” upsell for another product. Use an ad blocker and never enter a password.
Is AnonyIG free?
The viewer is free and paid for by ads. After a search it offers a paid Televzr subscription, which you don’t need for public stories.
Does AnonyIG notify the person?
No. AnonyIG fetches public stories from its own servers, so your account isn’t involved and you don’t appear in the viewer list. The same goes for public stories viewed in Peekd.
Why is AnonyIG not working?
Usually the story expired, the account is private or the name is mistyped. Some reviews also report that access varies by country. If it keeps failing, try Peekd’s free story viewer check.
Can AnonyIG see private accounts?
No. Its own FAQ says only public accounts work, even though an upsell after a search suggests otherwise. No tool can legitimately open a private account, Peekd included.
